The Complete SG Highway Exit Guide — Your Turn-by-Turn from Every Point on the Corridor
SG Highway runs over 30 km through Ahmedabad and into Gandhinagar. The key to reaching Wellspring IVF from anywhere on the highway is knowing the two exit crossroads. Everything else is just distance along the highway.
The Two Exits You Need to Know
Exit A — Shyamal Crossroads
Turn off SG Highway at Shyamal Cross Roads. Take 100 Feet Road (Anand Nagar Road) heading south-west. Titanium City Center Mall is approximately 600 metres ahead on your left, clearly visible and marked by Sachin Tower. Total from exit to clinic: under 4 minutes.
Exit B — Iscon Crossroads
Turn off SG Highway at Iscon Cross Roads. Take 100 Feet Road heading south-west towards Satellite. Titanium City Center is approximately 400 metres ahead. This is the slightly shorter exit from the highway. Total from exit to clinic: under 3 minutes.
Rule of thumb
If you are travelling from the south (Bopal / Shilaj direction), Shyamal Crossroads appears first. If you are travelling from the north (Gandhinagar / GIFT City / Thaltej direction), Iscon Crossroads appears first. Use whichever comes first — both lead to Titanium City Center within 600 metres.
Zone-by-Zone Routing — Where You Are on SG Highway and How Long It Takes
| Your Zone / Starting Area | Best Exit | Approx. Distance to Clinic | Typical Travel Time |
|---|---|---|---|
| Makarba, Sarkhej | Shyamal Crossroads | ~4–5 km on SG Highway + 600 m | 8–12 minutes |
| Sola, Thaltej | Iscon Crossroads | ~3–4 km on SG Highway + 400 m | 7–10 minutes |
| Gota, Chandkheda | Iscon Crossroads | ~8–10 km on SG Highway + 400 m | 12–18 minutes |
| GIFT City, Gandhinagar | Iscon Crossroads | ~18–22 km on SG Highway + 400 m | 25–35 minutes |
| Bopal, Shilaj | Shyamal Crossroads | ~10–12 km on SG Highway + 600 m | 15–20 minutes |
| Vastrapur, Bodakdev | Iscon / 132 Feet Road | ~2.5–3.5 km from Vastrapur | 6–10 minutes |
| Out-of-Town: Surat / Vadodara / Anand | Shyamal Crossroads (first major Ahmedabad exit on SG Highway from south) | As above from Shyamal exit | 5–8 min from Shyamal Cross Roads exit |
Precise Turn-by-Turn from Shyamal Crossroads Exit
Once you exit SG Highway at Shyamal Cross Roads: face 100 Feet Road (the wide road perpendicular to the SG Highway exit). Turn left (south-west) onto 100 Feet Road heading towards Satellite. Drive straight — no turns required. After approximately 500–600 metres, Titanium City Center Mall is visible on your left. It is a large glass-facade commercial complex. Enter the basement parking directly from the ground level ramp. Wellspring IVF is Suite 440 on the 4th floor, accessible via the mall’s central lift lobby.
Precise Turn-by-Turn from Iscon Crossroads Exit
Exit SG Highway at Iscon Cross Roads. At the Iscon junction, turn onto 100 Feet Road heading south-west towards Satellite. The road is clearly marked. Drive approximately 400 metres — Titanium City Center is immediately on your left. If coming from the Gandhinagar / north direction on SG Highway, Iscon Crossroads is the first major junction before Shyamal. Turn here for the shortest approach to the clinic.

Dr. Pranay Shah — Academic Foundation, Clinical Authority, and 15 Years of Fertility Practice
Dr. Pranay Shah — Complete Academic & Clinical Profile
Academic Qualifications
- MBBS — B.J. Medical College, Ahmedabad: One of India’s oldest and most respected government medical institutions. Established 1873. Affiliated to Gujarat University. The training foundation that shaped Dr. Shah’s clinical rigour across all disciplines of medicine.
- MS in Obstetrics & Gynaecology — Civil Hospital / B.J. Medical College, Ahmedabad: Post-graduate specialist training through one of Gujarat’s highest-volume obstetrics and gynaecology departments. Clinical exposure during this training covered the full spectrum of reproductive medicine — high-risk obstetrics, complex gynaecological surgery, infertility management, and endoscopic procedures — at a volume and case complexity that private hospital training rarely matches.
Clinical Experience — 15+ Years in Fertility Medicine
- Former Chief Fertility Consultant, Krishna Shalby Hospital, Ahmedabad: Shalby Hospitals is a nationally recognised multi-speciality chain. Leading the fertility division at this institutional level prior to founding Wellspring IVF demonstrates the clinical seniority and case complexity Dr. Shah handled before establishing his own centre.
- Founder & Lead Consultant, Wellspring IVF & Women’s Hospital (est. 2015): Over a decade of independent IVF practice — building Wellspring IVF’s protocols, embryology team, laboratory infrastructure, and clinical culture from the ground up.
- 6,000+ IVF Cycles Performed: Clinical experience is not merely counted in years but in case complexity and volume. 6,000+ IVF cycles means Dr. Shah has encountered — and resolved — the full spectrum of fertility presentations: straightforward unexplained infertility, severe male factor requiring TESE/PESA, poor ovarian response in women over 40, recurrent implantation failure after multiple cycles elsewhere, complex PCOD with OHSS risk, and anatomical factors requiring hysteroscopic correction before IVF.
- 350+ Hysteroscopies: Surgical hysteroscopy for uterine cavity assessment and correction — polyps, fibroids, adhesions, septa — is a critical skill that many IVF specialists lack direct hands-on proficiency in. Dr. Shah performs these procedures directly, not via referral, ensuring continuity of care and personalised surgical decision-making for every patient requiring uterine intervention before embryo transfer.
Clinical Philosophy
- ‘Own Eggs First’ Principle: Dr. Shah exhausts every clinically appropriate option using the patient’s own eggs before recommending donor eggs — including dual stimulation (DuoStim), embryo banking across multiple mini-IVF cycles, and ovarian priming protocols for poor responders.
- No Unnecessary Procedures: Dr. Shah will not recommend a surgical procedure, additional investigation, or advanced technology add-on unless the clinical evidence supports it for your specific case. This extends to PGT-A, IMSI, Laser Assisted Hatching, and donor egg cycles — each is recommended only when individually indicated.
- IUI Before IVF: For the right patient profile, IUI is always offered as the first active treatment before IVF is recommended. The simpler the intervention that can achieve the outcome, the better — this is the ethical standard Dr. Shah holds his practice to.

The Class 10,000 Cleanroom IVF Laboratory — Why Infrastructure Is Not a Luxury in Fertility Medicine
Patients researching fertility hospitals on SG Highway frequently ask the same question: what actually separates a specialist IVF centre from a general gynaecology clinic that ‘also does IVF’? The honest answer is primarily one thing: the laboratory.
The IVF laboratory is where fertilisation, embryo development, blastocyst culture, ICSI micromanipulation, embryo biopsy for genetic testing, and vitrification all occur. It is the environment in which your embryos exist for 3–6 of the most critical days of their development. The quality of that environment directly determines the proportion of embryos that successfully develop to blastocyst stage — and therefore determines your actual success rate, regardless of which doctor’s name is on the clinic door.
What Class 10,000 Means — And Why It Matters
ISO Class 7 / Class 10,000 Cleanroom — The Technical Standard
The standard defined
A Class 10,000 (ISO Class 7) cleanroom contains a maximum of 10,000 particles ≥0.5 microns per cubic foot of air. This is the same standard used in pharmaceutical sterile manufacturing and semiconductor fabrication. In an IVF context, it means the air surrounding your embryos is continuously filtered, controlled, and monitored for particulate matter, volatile organic compounds (VOCs), and microbial contamination.
Why VOCs matter critically
Volatile Organic Compounds — emitted by building materials, paint, cleaning products, and even lab equipment — are invisible but directly toxic to embryo development. Studies published in reproductive medicine journals have shown that IVF labs with elevated VOC levels have measurably lower blastocyst development rates and poorer embryo quality scores than labs with active VOC filtration, even when all other variables are controlled. This is why the air purification standard of an IVF lab is not a marketing claim — it is a clinical outcome variable.
Temperature and atmosphere control
Wellspring IVF’s Class 10,000 lab operates trigas incubators — maintaining 5–6% CO₂, 5% O₂, and N₂ balance at 37.0°C (±0.1°C tolerance). This replicates the physiological oxygen tension of the human fallopian tube environment in which embryos naturally develop in the first days after fertilisation. Standard ambient-air CO₂ incubators expose embryos to approximately 21% O₂ — four times the physiological level — creating oxidative stress that compromises mitochondrial function in embryonic cells.
Specialist IVF Centre vs General Clinic — The Infrastructure Comparison
| Infrastructure Element | Wellspring IVF (Specialist Centre) | General Gynaecology Clinic |
|---|---|---|
| IVF Laboratory Class | ✓ Class 10,000 Cleanroom (ISO 7) | ❌ Standard room / uncontrolled environment |
| Incubator Type | ✓ Trigas (CO₂ / O₂ / N₂) — 5% O₂ | ❌ Standard CO₂ only — 21% ambient O₂ |
| VOC Monitoring | ✓ Active HEPA + carbon filtration + VOC monitoring | ❌ No VOC filtration |
| ICSI Capability | ✓ In-house — micromanipulation workstation on-site | ❌ Usually referred to external lab |
| Blastocyst Culture (Day 5) | ✓ Standard protocol — all eligible cycles | ⚠️ Limited or not available in many clinics |
| Vitrification Cryostorage | ✓ In-house — embryos, eggs, and semen stored on-site | ❌ Usually outsourced — embryos transported to external storage |

A Message from Dr. Pranay Shah
“
The question I am most often asked by patients who have driven from Gandhinagar, or made the journey from Surat or Vadodara, is a version of: ‘Was it worth it?’ And my answer is always the same — I will make sure it is.
When someone makes a significant journey to consult me, it tells me they have already done their research. They are not here for a second opinion as a formality — they are here because they believe that the difference in clinical quality is worth the distance. My responsibility to those patients is to ensure that belief is justified in every consultation, every protocol decision, and every embryology outcome.
SG Highway brings you to the right exit ramp. What you find on the other side — the laboratory, the team, and the care — is what brings patients back with their second pregnancy.
— Dr. Pranay Shah, Director & Chief Fertility Consultant, Wellspring IVF & Women’s Hospital

Frequently Asked Questions
Which crossroads do I exit SG Highway at to reach Wellspring IVF?
There are two exits to use. If you are travelling from the south (Bopal / Sarkhej direction heading towards the city), use Shyamal Cross Roads. If you are travelling from the north (Gandhinagar / Thaltej / Gota direction heading towards Sarkhej), use Iscon Cross Roads. At either exit, turn onto 100 Feet Road (Anand Nagar Road) heading towards Satellite. Titanium City Center Mall is 400–600 metres from either turning — clearly visible on your left, next to Sachin Tower. Suite 440 is on the 4th floor. Free basement parking is available at the mall.
I am travelling from Surat — how do I reach Wellspring IVF and how long will it take?
From Surat, take the Surat–Ahmedabad Expressway into Ahmedabad. The expressway connects directly to or near SG Highway. Once on SG Highway, drive towards Satellite zone and exit at Shyamal Cross Roads. Turn onto 100 Feet Road — Titanium City Center is 600 metres from the turn. Total drive time from Surat: approximately 2.5–3 hours under normal traffic conditions. We recommend booking an early morning appointment (10:00–11:00 AM) so you can complete your consultation and return the same day without an overnight stay. Call 9099946050 to schedule.
What is the difference between ICSI and IMSI — and how do I know which I need?
ICSI (Intracytoplasmic Sperm Injection) injects a single sperm directly into an egg under standard 400× microscope magnification. It is the global standard for all male factor infertility and is performed at Wellspring IVF in-house. IMSI (Intracytoplasmic Morphologically Selected Sperm Injection) uses significantly higher magnification — 6,000–8,000× — to identify and exclude sperm with nuclear vacuoles or structural abnormalities invisible at standard ICSI magnification. IMSI is recommended for specific cases: recurrent IVF failure despite good embryo quality, high sperm DNA fragmentation index, or previous cycles with unexpectedly poor fertilisation or embryo development. Dr. Shah will recommend ICSI or IMSI based on your semen analysis results and any prior IVF history — not as a blanket upgrade.
What does 'Class 10,000 cleanroom' mean and does it actually affect my IVF success rate?
A Class 10,000 cleanroom maintains a maximum of 10,000 particles ≥0.5 microns per cubic foot of air — the same standard used in pharmaceutical manufacturing. In an IVF context, this matters because volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and particulate contamination in laboratory air directly suppress embryo development and blastocyst formation rates. Published reproductive medicine research has demonstrated measurable differences in blastocyst rates and embryo quality between labs with and without Class 10,000 air quality control, even when all other variables are identical. So to directly answer the question: yes, laboratory air quality is a real variable that affects your IVF outcome, not a marketing specification.
I have had two failed IVF cycles at another clinic. Why should I try at Wellspring IVF?
Recurrent IVF failure is one of the most complex and emotionally exhausting situations in fertility medicine. Dr. Shah approaches it with a systematic diagnostic review — not by repeating the same protocol in the hope of a different result. A recurrent failure consultation at Wellspring IVF typically involves: a detailed review of all previous cycle records and embryology reports; re-investigation of uterine cavity (hysteroscopy if not recently done); sperm DNA fragmentation testing if not previously performed; review of stimulation protocol and embryo quality grading; and assessment of whether PGT-A, IMSI, or a modified protocol is indicated. The reason outcomes improve is not always because Wellspring IVF’s technology is different — it is because a fresh, structured diagnostic review often identifies a correctable factor that was missed or unaddressed in prior cycles.
My husband has been diagnosed with azoospermia (nil sperm count). Can you help?
Yes — and azoospermia is not the end of the fertility journey. Depending on whether the azoospermia is obstructive (blockage preventing sperm release despite normal production) or non-obstructive (impaired sperm production), different surgical retrieval options apply. For obstructive azoospermia, PESA (Percutaneous Epididymal Sperm Aspiration) can retrieve sperm directly from the epididymis in a brief day-care procedure. For non-obstructive azoospermia, TESE (Testicular Sperm Extraction) directly biopsies testicular tissue to retrieve any available sperm for use in ICSI. Both TESE and PESA are performed in-house at Wellspring IVF’s day-care OT — retrieved sperm are used immediately in the same ICSI cycle or vitrified for a future cycle. Dr. Shah coordinates the male and female treatment components simultaneously. Visit our TESE & PESA treatment page for full detail.
Can I have an initial consultation before deciding to start treatment? Is there any obligation?
Absolutely — and this is strongly encouraged. An initial consultation with Dr. Pranay Shah is an information-gathering appointment. You will receive a complete review of your fertility history, a recommendation for appropriate investigations, and an honest clinical assessment of your fertility status and treatment options. There is no obligation to commit to any treatment at or after this appointment. Many couples come for a first consultation and leave with the reassurance that they simply need more time — or with a clear, staged plan that begins with something as simple as lifestyle changes and timed intercourse. To book your first consultation, call 9099946050.
